MBUX microphone level settings?
The MBUX system in my W907 doesn’t “hear” my commands. Only when speaking very loud en close to the microphone MBUX respond. When making a call, the microphone is working fine.
I am having this problem after the Mercedes dealer installed MBUX update. Before the update the system was working without any problems. Unfortunately the dealer isn’t very helpful with solving this problem.
Does anyone of you know what I can do to fix this problem? I would be very grateful!
(Sorry for the ‘not so good’ English, but I think you all know what I am trying to explain and ask...)
So, please let me know if you have any idea what to do about this issue.
thanks,
Marcel
In The Netherlands we learn English at school, but for me, that’s around 40 years ago... good thing there is a spellcheck on my ipad🙄.
About the MBUX problem, I got a call from Mercedes Nederland and now I got an appointment for checking the MBUX software. They said this problem happens once and awhile and they probably have to upload the MBUX software again. We will see.......

Thanks for your reply. I did have a look at the settings in dealer mode but I have no idea which setting is for the microphone audio level and didn’t dare to try and change random audio settings in dealer mode.
Next Friday my car goes back to the dealer. I hope they can fix the problem. If not, I will take a look at the settings in dealer mode again.
Do you know what settings (in dealer mode) are related to the microphone audio level?
Marcel
Today my car was checked by the local Mercedes Dealer (or so they told me). The problem is exactly the same as before. They told me, the problem was that the “Hey Mercedes” option was disabled in the menu and they turned it on (I think that was all they did....)
I knew it was turned off, because I did turn it off myself...this has no effect on the lingatronic activation button on the steering wheel.
When i activate lingatronic on the steering wheel, I have to talk loud en close to the microphone. If i don’t, lingatronic doesn’t hear me. That is why it seems to me, the microphone audio level is to low.
I did take a look at the settings in dealer mode and tried a few things but without succes. I also did a compleet reset (back to factory settings) of the MBUX system, also without succes.
If anyone who reads this and knows what to do about it, please let me know. Also, if anyone of you knows what setting in dealer mode does what, please let me know. I would like to have (or make) a list with the options in dealer mode and what they mean and what they do.
Thanks,
Marcel

Thanks for your reply. I checked Mercedes Me and 'Lingatronic online voice control' was already turned on. Also, in my car (in the menu) the Lingatronic online is activated.
If you (or anybody else) knows any other options i can check, please let me know.
Thanks again,
Marcel

So, a little step in the right direction but not there yet....
The roofmodule (don’t know what the correct name is in English) is replaced with a new one. This module contains a light, some switches, alarm sensors, microphones and an electronic part to communicate with the rest of the car.
Replacing this (complete) module, and updating the car software (again) solved the problem.
