W211 speaker locations and sizes

I am looking to upgrade my sound system in my 04 E500. It currently has the standard sound system, not HK. I was curious where all the speakers were and the sizes of them. I was also curious if I needed to rewire the car to add an amp to these speaker locations. Is there a way to use the stock wiring and just add the amp and new speakers? Thanks.

speaker sizes

The front door speakers are 6.5". The kickpanel speakers are 3.5". There are also tweeters in the door. There is one 3.5" speaker in the middle dash. Looks as if it were in an air vent. I havent checked out the rear door speakers yet. I have changed out the front 6.5's and the tweeters to an MB quart component set. The sound is a lot cleaner but still not that loud. I am going to hook up an amp I have and I will let you know how it comes out.

MB doctor did mine. I have a 2004 with a standard sound system. MB doctor replaced the audio gateway with the HK gateway (the gateway contains the amp). I now have pro logic sound, a button appears on the command for pro logic after the gateway is installed. I needed the back sub-woofer, he installed it and made a very neat harness to plug in the gateway (as the harness is not prewired like the navigation). He (M.B. doctor) then installed two additional speakers in the front lower left and right kick panels (place already there from MB). You do not need to replace the speakers as the amp is what gives the clairity of sound. It works great and no bugs. Sound is impressive and cost was reasonable . car remains stock. I found this M.B. doctor on ebay. He's an MB mechanic, an can do wonders with car (has star diagnosis).

I want to correct myself. The 2 front speakers in the kick panel are not 3.5". They are smaller than that. And they are also not hooked up to the system. There is existing speakers, but they are not hooked up. I am assuming that they are for the navigation system which I dont have.
