Infra Red / Door Locking problem
Hi I’ve posted in the A209 sub forum, but want to throw this out to a hopefully wider audience for assistance.
Yesterday our 2005 CLK convertible wouldn’t respond to either of the 2 remote keys.
neither doors nor boot.
open door with key blade and car starts fine.
doors will lock/unlock from dashboard buttons.
the 3 fuses listed for central locking are all ok.
tried new fob batteries.
charged the main battery overnight but to no avail.
Has anyone suffered this? Will it be the IR receiver on the door handle?
If so, how do I access, does door panel have to be removed, and does the unit have to be coded to the car if I can get a replacement?
Are there any steps I’ve missed checking?
any other control units?

Out Of Control!!
If you have access to DAS Xentry you will find the problem as soon as you do a short test. Otherwise your FUUAA will not work regardless of where you post

@Plutoe
All fixed.
It was fuse No.8.
not listed as part of central locking but it also powers RF amp.
what is the FUUAA you keep listing I’ve googled it and there are no hits?
is it an acronym you’ve made up?
