Finally Replacing Sorry CLK Audio

Went on long ride this weekend and realized I have to replace the sorry stereo. I have 2001-clk430 coupe. I know there have been many posts on this subject. I don't really need Navigation capability. I just want quality tunes. I listen to jazz, blues, some funk and some rock. I'm leaning to Alpine Head Unit. The CHA-7998 or CHA-7897. The 12 Disk Changer and Rockford Amp. I did have a question concerning the speakers. I want the MB Quart Speakers. Do I need to replace all 8 speakers? Also, not sure of the size was wondering what some of you have in your CLK's.

2018 E400 COUPE SOLD -> Porsche Taycan 4S
you can fit a mbquart 3 way component system in the stock locations ie a pillar front of door and rear of door. also can fit two way 61/2 in the stock rear deck locations. sub if you want to sacrifice some trunk space.

Before you change the amp and speakers, try to replace the headunit first. You might be satisfied already.
Alpine headunit with 4V pre-out is strong enough to drive the stock amp. Two ground loop isolators (available at any auto audio store) should be used between the alpine headunit (RCA output) and amp input (RCA plug assembly available at Radioshack). It works fine on my 98 c280.
No need to use speaker output and lineout converter.

Had the installation done last week in my 2001 clk-430 coupe. Now have the following:

Head Unit: Alpine CDA7894
CD Chang: Alpine CHA1214 - 12 CD Changer
Amp: XTANT A4004 400W 4 Channel
Sub: XTANT A1040A 10" Sub
Speakers: MBQuart RSC216 Ref 6.5 Comp
MB Quart RKC 113/116 Crossover

Now I really love my CLK!
