COMAND (Europe) S/W Upgrade available
European MB dealers have a software upgrade for COMAND2.0 (CLK/E/ML) and 2.5(S/CL) and C class
If the dealer has read the service bulletins, he will have probably ordered the disk in.
Its for upgrading MY2001 CLK/E/ML/C and MY2000 S/CL as far as I can make out, and has s/w with a March 2001 date - its meant to get rid of all those niggling oddities that COMAND does from time to time, including some of the voice recognition things that dont work properly.
If your dealer doesnt know about it, then he needs read the latest service bulletins and to order part number W 215 589 0022 00 (its a W part not a A part as its a "tool")
The parts department of one of the dealers I used let me order one for myself ;-) - I wouldnt recommend upgrading your own system though !
