low level outputs from command 2.0

low level outputs from command 2.0

Does anyone know how to get low level output from command 2.0 to connect an aftermarket amp?

Modify the COMAND by adding low level outputs; if you are capable of doing this, it's pretty easy to locate the points on the circuit board where you tap in the outputs (the input to the amplifier chip, the spec sheet on the IC used in the COMAND is pretty easy to locate).

Or, you can modify a digital Bose amplifier to also have low level outputs. Same issue.

Thanks for the help. Do you have the part number for the chip so that I can get the data sheet. I have the unit installed right now and don't want to remove it yet. I am currently using a line level converter and they suck.

No, not off the top of my head, and I am not sure that the same chip would be used in all versions... I've seen various versions of boards for the various versions of COMAND, so the layout does change.
