What part of the car does the Mercedes app connect too?is thefe anyway of removing power to that part so it does not connect to app?

The app connects to the car via the car's Internet connection, which is handled by the HERMES module. All communication goes through the HERMES module, including emergency calls if you get into an accident. Disconnecting the HERMES module will sever the connection, but also a bunch of other things. The app also connects via Bluetooth while you are in the car for functions such as sending navigation destinations to the navigation system. That connection can be severed by not pairing the phone via Bluetooth. Why? What's your goal?
