how does one get the map to move with the car without having to reset the map location--i set the system to show the present location but when i drive past the edge of the shown map the map does not reset(as it does with bmw, range rover, gm products, etc) so i have to reenter the map with the car location centered.

it sounds like you're trying to pinpoint a location on the map, dont go through NAV and then use any of those options, just hit the MAP button at the top of your COMAND unit and it should adjust by itself
