w205 map upgrade
Hi I bought a 2017 c250d in Australia, the map version is from 2017
how do I go about updating this manually?
I tried via mercedes me and it said my car is not eligible or something and threw up bunch of errors
I dont want to pay the dealership

This is just an example, you need to make sure this disc actually works for your vehicle. This particular one might not work.

You can download by yourself from MB the latest maps and you can ask here for the activation code.

Can you use another USB2.0 with file system NTFS and try again, there are a lot of YouTube about that

not sur eif that gives clues to which one i should be using

My fault, sorry! Your car doesn't have Comand so no Map can be uploaded. You can buy a new SD Card from AliExpress for your Radio.
Time zone difference, I was not paying attention although I already asked you to tell if the Head Unit ask for code.
You can easily retrofit Comand Online with the bigger display and you can use the code I sent or you can retrofit the Radio from w205 2018 that's compatible with Carplay and keep the small display

I can see some people have old accident and dismantling c43/63 etc can I pull from them?

Does that mean OP has audio 20 instead of COMAND?

I see, thank you for the confirmation. At this point (whatever is cheaper) I wonder if OP should just get a smartphone integration adapter (not sure if it works with audio 20) and use android auto or carplay with Google Maps and Waze for free live traffic and maps.

The Carplay adaptor on A20 can be installed, but the Audio will be very bad as A20 can't be coded to enable the Audio Aux input, so an USB dongle needs to be added together with noisy sound.

I see, I guess as long as it work for navigation which is probably what OP is needs right now and not music playing or any other functions of smartphone integration.

Note that if you will not miss the October maintenance schedule, you may receive 2 free NOx sensors and/or a great Software for your engine.

I was wondering if anybody has a link for V10 North American maps as that is the current version I have and want a back up of the maps prior to updating. Is this possible by removing the HDD and cloning it or is it just as easy as downloading the same version to bypass pin verification. I already have V15 ready on a USB stick , I just want a back up copy of the V10 maps. Thanks for listening.
