Siemens S65

Hi. I'm curious. Are the new USA MHI or UHI compatible with the Siemens S65?

UHI is compatible with Siemens S65. I am awaiting delivery of my S66 to give it a try in UHI.

Well... "like" is yes. But really, it is the version with the 800MHz band instead of the 900MHz band. Since the "non US" versions are sold in the US for carriers that have not switched from "1900MHz only", it's not precise to call these "US" and "non US" versions (Cingular switched first, then AT&T, and finally T-Mobile will, but they still sell phones without 800MHz).

It's such a hassle that every part of the world has its own frequency and mode for cell phone......

Here's a list of countries / regions and their respective frequencies:
China (including Hong Kong and Macau): GSM 900/1800 / 3G
Europe: GSM 900/1800 / 3G
US: GSM 850 / 1900, CDMA, TDMA
Korea: CDMA-1X, CDMA
Japan: 3G, docomo, CDMA1X-WIN
Middle East: GSM 900/1800

Not the world, the rest of the world with GSM are all 900/1800. Only the USofA and a few neighborhing countries uses something different. And yes, it's a hassle. But lucky for me, my V600 is working well since I openned the box. It's quad band so I have no problem with the world of GSM.

Blame it on France. They picked 900 after the US was already using 900 for everything else, even though much of the world was already using 800 for AMPS.

I guess?! The only problem is only cosmatic. The silly bezel would brake very easily if dropped. I have replaced mine a couple times already. But that didn't affect the way the phone works. And thankfully they are cheap to replace. It survived the dessert of er...nevermind.

I know the v600 has been trashed, but mine has worked flawlessly in the US, England and France since I've had it. Its also easily updated via editing the "seem" files. I'm hoping the v600 (or 600i/620) MB will be offering in the US (soon< i am told) will work as well.

Can anyone tell me the part numbers for the UHI and the Cradle for the S65?

Also when upgrading my W209 from the previous Nokia 6310i are these the only parts that need upgrading and if not does anyone know what else is required?
