UHI phone and command questions...

UHI phone and command questions...
My dealer says the UK won't be getting the universal phone cradle UHI thingummy for my 2005 SLK350 for a while and recommends one of the fittings for a phone on the approved list - can anyone confirm this to be the case?
mb approved phones for 2005 slk:
Nokia 6310i,6210,6310,6100.6610,7250i
Siemens CX65,S45,S45i,ME45,C45,M50,MT50,S55,C55,M55,
Sony Ericsson T610,T630
trouble is i don't like any of the phones on the list.....
ps - does anyone know what mb are planning with the bluetooth installation in the command system??
it searches and finds other bluetooth objects and then authenticates with them, but then doesn't do anything else with them? should i look out for future software upgrades with the command?
pps - can i play an ipod through my command?? is there a line-in anywhere as i've got an aux option?
i'd ask my dealer, but he's technologically challenged.

the aux is in the glove box.
the phones listed are all UHi phones but require a specific cradle. I don't think your dealer knows what UHI is.
As for bluetooth, I would expect it next year.... hopefully....
