Help Removing DVD Setup and replace with Stock

I'm in need of desperate help. I have a pioneer in dash dvd setup. I'm trying to remove it and put in my stock. After following instructions online on how install stock, I've had no problem doing so and have tested it. The only problem that remains is findin/removing the av receiver(brain) for my dvd unit. I am pretty sure it's somewhere( don't know where since i didn't install it) since I see video cables which doesn't make sense to be present with the stock. Since it the dvd install was done at a professional place, i'm sure most of them put the receive in the same place.

In the glove compartment, I only see the stock cd changer.

car: 2003 c230

thanks!

Follow the cables and see where they lead you.

ok i found the receiver. it was under the carpet beneath the passenger foot area. it was a pan getting the front plate and the stereo wiring out but i finally did it. there were 2 wires tangled and i had no choice but to snip 2 wires. one was green/white the other one was red. i snipped it right before the connect that looks like

----------XXXXXXX------ (i think it's an extension) but it it shouldn't matter

PROBLEM!

the red one is the power/ignition that was connected to the dvd. my car doesn't turn on anymore. i'm guessing that it's because that 1 red wire hasn't been grounded. is this true? can someone help?

diagram of red wire leading from ignition area:

before:
(frm ignition) (extension) (leading to into connector cable for dvd)
----------------xxxxxxxxxxxx-----------------

after:
(fron ignition)
