Nokia6230 as MP3 player ??
Hey,
Has anybody tried to use thair 6230 as a MP3 player with UHI/COMAND ?.
The phones can take a 1GB mem .. and the sound is fairly ok.
So I was wondering..
Since its already in the car.. it would be nice to use it for MP3 aswell.
Full integration is proberly not possible.. but the sound should have a chance to be connectet..maybe to the AUX
Anybody done it ?...
Thanks in advance -kim

Hey Kim, I think the sound is OK! The only way I know to do it though, is to get a POP-port stereo adapter, plug that into the phone, and then into the COMAND auxiliary input. Unfortunately that won't work while the phone is in the UHI cradle.
This would be a good thing for Mercedes to add though... listen while it is in the cradle.
It is the same sort of issue I have with my Sony T637. The voice commands don't work because the microphone is disconnected from the telephone when the phone is in the car kit, except when the COMAND decides that they should be connected. In a normal Sony kit, the microphone is always connected to the phone so you can set a "magic word" like "TELEPHONE". Then whenever you say "TELEPHONE" the phone will wait for the next command, like "DIAL STEVE". But it doesn't work with UHI because it is all connection-oriented digital.
That's also why my custom ring tone doesn't come through the system when using the Sony. When I use the Nokia 6310i, it does.
