Hi, I have a 2000 C230 Kompressor. I was wondering if it was possible to retrofit a COMAND system into my car. I have heard of it being done, but I wasn't sure how much work it took. I have heard that the console from a w210 E-class that has comand will fit a w202 with little to no modification. Is this true? And does anybody know a good webpage with detailed installation instructions? Also, what are the pros and cons of US / Euro COMAND system? And I have the older style climate control with the knobs. Do I have to replace that to make room for comand? Anyone have ballpark cost of what it would cost to do? Thanks for any help.

I saw that, but the guys console is different than mine. He has a CD holder where I just have a little shelf thing. Any other pages?

 

it doesnt matter. you could have the cd holder, the shelf or even the old school tape holder and it will work. those pieces are independent and come right out

We did a C230 K station with an ML comand and that works! I also have another one for my car but no time for the install ;(
