My CD Changer
I have a 1995 SL 320. I had it in for service.....they had to pull the engine...
(I have had the car since April, and love it!) Anyway, I had the car delivered back to my home and when I went to drive it, the cd changer was asking me for a code. (never saw that before). My wife punched some numbers in, at random, and then it read, "wait", and continues to do so any time it is on. I can't seem to get it to do anything. Perhaps something needs to be reset......don't know...........I don't have a manual, so hopefully someone out there knows what's up with this. I would appreciate any help I can get.

You need the security code for your radio. Since you say you don't have the manual, you probably don't have the code card that would have given you the code. You can go to a dealer and get the code.

This was a feature that MB came up with to deter theft of radios from their cars. Someone who took the radio out wouldnt have the "code" so the radio wouldn't play for them... so don't steal it.
Your battery was disconnected, the radio thinks it has been removed & reinstalled in another car. The "code" is a 4 digit number you press in on the keypad. If it matches the burned in code, the radio plays.
The dealers can get the code for you if it is the original radio in the car once you prove ownership.
