Lease - Buy Miles now or pay after?

Is it cheaper to call your leasing company (US Bank in my case) and pay the extra $5-$20 bucks a month for an extra 5k miles now or should I just wait until the end of the lease and pay $0.25 per mile? I've got 21 months left on my lease and I'm estimating that I'll be around 5k miles over my 45k limit.

I believe you have to wait until the lease term ends. I was in the same situation too and all I did was paid the miles I went over when I returned the car.

I called US Bank today and they said that I can actually buy an additional 3000 miles for $10.00 more a month for the remaining 21 months left on my lease. If my math is correct, it will cost me $210 more instead of paying $700+ at the end of the lease ($0.25 x 3000).

Seems like you have taken care of it yourself and the Bank is willing to work with you, I'd say do it.

Thanks for your help! I've been told that MB Credit will do more than 3k miles when you want to purchase more miles. US Bank's max is 3000 additional miles.

Not a problem, I'm glad I read this thread. Now you got me looking at my mileage too lol Seems like you're in the area as well. Where are you located in the Bay Area?

I live in Sunnyvale and work in Mountain View. There's one shop in Fremont where they do modifications on Benz, I will look it up for you.

Cool Thanks!

We'll have to hook up and try to get a W211 meet in the Bay somewhere.

Sounds like a good idea.... I still can't get over that I have this car in my driveway lol. Plus I love the smell of a new car.

It's definitely a sweet ride! I should post more pics of mine...I changed the grill and went the flat emblem route myself. I'm thinking about upgrading to 19" Brabus Monoblock VI's...maybe 20's but I heard that it may give a rough ride and I still need to take clients around in my car.
