How do I access the lower bolt(?) to remove headlight housing W245?
I want to remove the W245 headlight housing (the whole plastic enclosure, not just replace a bulb). The top two 10mm bolts are easy, and then the housing moves a bit, but I know there is a third fixture at the bottom. What I don't know is if this is a bolt that requires accessing, or if it is a friction post that slots into a housing that can be removed with enough pressure.
.
.
- If a bolt, how do I get to it? There is a forum posting that says one does not have to remove the bumper, just move 10cm, but it does not say which way or what is to be moved 10 cm (housing, bumper, guard/fender?).
- If a friction post, which way does it move (forward, backwards, up, down, sideways toward side of car, sideways toward middle of the car?)

Yes, you should remove the front bumper or at least half of the bumper, that is on the left or right depends on which headlight you want to remove.
There are some videos in the youtube how to remove the front bumper, but basically there around 5 clips that you should remove. The clips are located under the bumper and mud-guard in front of the wheel. Also there are is a metal clamp(about 10 cm long) that holds the bumper to the side mud-guard and this is the biggest challenge, because it is tighten with two screws that are not visible. Once you remove that clamp you will be able to see the bolt that hold the headlight at the bottom.
