Android Auto in w246

Hello all,

I'm very happy to be part of this forum

I just bought 2017 B200d that came with Mercedes multimedia.
any chance that high trim level came with built in Android Auto/Apple car play?

Hi,

I have a 2016 W246 B Class AMG. I have tried it all and have eventually got Android Auto working. It worked with CarPlay natively.

So I have a few questions and then I will explain my journey so you can try a few things.

Firstly, do you know what NTG version you have?

Secondly, do you see the option for Carplay or Android Auto in your Telephone menu?

If you do not have the options showing, many will tell you that you need to get a OBD plugin that will open the options...however I followed the route of using the Service Menu and turning it on in there. I will drop you a link to a YouTube video that explains it all.

If you are a iPhone user , this is all you need. If you are an Android user, then the journey may need to continue a little more if it doesn't connect automatically via the cable.

I am not an expert but a frustrated, determined Mercedes owner who refuses to play the stupid game of giving money to dealership to have them do something to the car that it was designed to do anyway.
