Common Problems
We currently have a W245 2011 B-Class 200 Turbo. We already replaced the Transmission module and the car runs great.
I have been thinking of purchasing a 2016-2017 B 250 as a replacement since it's my mother-in-law which drives the B200 Turbo.
What are some of the common problems you owners of the B200 have run into and had to take it back to MB to get fixed or out of pocket?
The B200 Turbo is pretty peppy and lots of fun when you press the gas however we purchase it because of the design and space inside.
We also like the styling of the B250.
Thanks for your input.

For me, water pump, thermostat(s), coolant reservoir and hoses, batteries
are you looking at gasoline model, does it use premium, like mine?

I just picked up a pristine 2017 B250 with 20,000kms and a few decent options, and got a stupid good deal on it. A friend had a B200 and he drove my B250 and was stunned by how much quicker, smoother, and more luxurious it was than his. I do have the "Comfort Running Gear" option which tends to be provide a softer ride than the standard suspension.

Sorry, forgot from my list, transmission starting failing after 3 1/2 years around 60K km, MB replaced it under warranty

Thanks all.. Is this the same engine as in the C300? or is it smaller and comes in the A-Class like it did on the B200?

The Canadian market B200 Turbo came with the M266 engine, also a 2.0 litre turbo but less power and much less torque.
The Canadian market W246 B250 comes with the M270 engine. 2.0 litre turbo, 208hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine as the A Class in the Canadian market.
In the C class it is an M274 engine, which is almost the same thing except it is mounted longitudinally instead of transversely, since the C Class is a RWD or AWD car.
