Something crazy I noticed, that this was your 65th post and it was the 65th post in this thread. WOW

But I am really sorry about what happened, I had a guy scam me on the internet a while ago. About a $150, it was bull**** and pissed me off.

My suggestion would be if you are going to buy something have the guy make a private auction on ebay and you pay for it through ebay.

But deffinatly get the police involved because you are a victim of fraud and he is making alot of money.

Good luck, but again crazy about your post count and the post number on the thread.

Please keep us posted. I definitely think BrabusCcoupe has been up to no good, and he may have been using an alias of mic230coupe to sell goods that he owned. I think he just took the climatronic, brabus shifter and brabus emblems out of his c-coupe and took pictures of them, then sold them to various people without delivering the goods. BrabusCcoupe seems to have stopped posting....but he might be lurking around here.

Justice has been served. I recieved a phone call from my new friend officer Bodi who informed me that he had located Mike and "would I like to send him to jail or get my money back?" I took the cash (on his advice) and will give our petty thief credit for at least having a self preservation instinct. Two days after the call my money showed up via fed-ex. I hope this moron has learned something from all of this.

Interesting. Did the money back include all expenses as well? Did it include a promisary note not to publish info to help others get their money back as well?

Officer LePine would only discuss my case with me. He told me he had other complaints, but couldn't speak to me about them directly. I am aware that I can also press charges, but I live in Va and the crime was commited in Fla. Having delt with the criminal justice system before, I decided it was better to cut my losses and collect my check. If it was a car ride away the outcome would have been different. I would say that those who lost in excess of $350.00 have the best chance of seeing their money again. I believe that is the minimum for a felony in Fla, but I could be wrong. Good luck to all. I have since sold my C32, so I don't check this post as frequently. Also, I will not be signing an agreement not to publish information to help the others get their money back. Officer LePine and my local police department really did all the work. I just filed a complaint. (Sorry officer Bodi is who I started speaking with, officer LePine is who finished the job).

Thumbs up

I'm glad Mike was caught and you got your money back Redduc. Could you help other people who were defrauded, like myself, to contact the police dept. and get our money back? I know there are several people who were defrauded. I was only defrauded $300 though, but it was my own hard earned cash.

I would be glad too. Officer LePine's number is 813-247-8780. I would advise you file a report with your local police dept. first (as I did) and let them contact LePine. That is the order of events that worked for me. I am not sure if you will get the same results with a lesser dollar value, but it doesn't hurt to try. I would encourage all of those involved to stay on top of their local police department. Be sure they file a report and send the details to LePine. I would not recomend you contact LePine directly. He never returned one of my calls but was vigilant about following up the report filed by my local police. His call to me was a complete suprise. I was starting to think that I was going to have to fly to Fla. and take care of business the old fashoined way.

The individual amounts that we were defrauded might not have been much, but as a whole group, Mike defrauded probably a few thousand dollars in total. What really made me mad was that he practically paid for the mods on his car with our money. I'm going to file a police report ASAP, thanks redduc.

Similar case happeded to me few years ago. Make long story short, the FBI caught the guy and he did 6 months jail time. I got every penny I've lost back include all the phone bill, stamp, and interest. Colorado DA even offer me the plane ticket + hotel room to go to the trial but the guy plead guilty first.

Hope everyone gets their money back.

OMG! Gaston Ray from Autoclass. Heh, in florida. September of 04 I bought a set of Bi Xenon lights for my ML 55... I was sent a set of 03+ halogens not bixenons with ADAPTER harnesses!!!... Owner of autoclass said Gaston was "Allowed to sell his items from their shop" and was never an employee there. I was charged $900. I called up my credit card company and disputed the entire thing...

Gaston was not able to be reached but autoclass rebutted the dispute and said correct items sent. buyer tried to pull a bait and switch deal.

I was furious!!!! I ended up paying that $900 for a set of new halogens with the model numbers dremeled off!!!! Plastic shavings were still on the plastic when I got them and a mounting tab broken off....

*******s... anyone get burned by them??????? PM me. I would like to recover my funds....

W203 slightly modified
This might sound lame but did anyone try Google Earth to get a visual on the alleged location of the person's abode. It might be a shopping mall mail box, a church or something like that.

If you guys want to make it stick I suggest a "group buy" on the total cost of revenge / remedy. Im not suggesting anything violent but rather jumping on it and getting this before it goes interstate and relocates.

Let's all stick with MBENZNL for his reliability and quality. I know that some people sell on eBay and online for a few bucks less but in the end its broken, messed up or not even real.

PS: headlight tabs can be bought and the lights repaired.
