What happened to AMG boss Gindele's AWD W205 C63 he was driving daily?
Is the C63 getting AWD as standard, optional, or NOT AT ALL???
I doubt AMG would waste all the time and money to build a AWD W205 C63 if they weren't going to sell it to the public.
Meanwhile, a four-wheel drive C63 AMG is considered. AMG’s senior powertrain engineering manager, Dr Jorg Gindele said:“Yes, a C63 is possible. There is one car already [a prototype at AMG's headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany]. I know this because it’s my car!”

“There will be no four-wheel drive on the C63 AMG,” AMG boss Tobias Moers told Autocar at the recent Detroit auto show. “You should never say never, but for the foreseeable future, we will not offer it on the C63 AMG, either as standard or as an option.”

It will not have AWD standard or optional. Tobias, the current head of AMG, said so at the Detroit auto show a few weeks ago.

You really think AMG would spend the money to engineer and build a AWD W205 C63, and then have a AMG boss drive it as his personal daily driver, for them not to sell it to the public????

Do you not know who Tobias Moers is? He's the head of AMG. So yes, if the head of AMG says no AWD then there will be no AWD.

Tell me all about him and this A. M. G. that your speak of.
I guess you DO believe everything a car salesman tells you.

At least my salesman knows more than your salesman. Gindele, as your quote says is not the AMG boss, but a manager in powertrain engineering. They may have tested an AWD system, but decided against it. That would not be a managers decision, but the actual AMG boss's decision who happens to be Tobias Moers who clealy said "nein" to AWD.

I used "boss" to fit in the space allowed for thread titles.
You are the definition of troll.

I read the quote, by AMG’s senior powertrain engineering manager, Dr Jorg Gindele. So you're really going to take what a middle manager says about a prototype back in June of 2013 over what the head of AMG Tobias Moers, the man at the very top, stated as fact just 3 weeks ago? Wow, ok. Good luck with that.

AMG Gmbh can prototype anything... even an AMG CLS65 V12 biturbo 7-gtronic or a SLS M159 with electric hybrid, but it doesn't mean it will produce it officially. BTW, W205 will not get DCT and AWD now.
