Has Anyone Driven a C250 Coupe?
Hey all!
I'm just curious if anyone has had the chance to test drive the new 250 (not 350) coupe. I've only seen one review on the forum and it wasn't so positive. Thanks!

i just picked mine up last friday. drove all across town to work, nights out, shopping. the drive is smooth, my fully loaded options are brilliant and my magnetite black color and amg rims turn every head i drive by. dont think twice.

Congrats I'm glad you like it! I'm coming from a BMW so to be honest I'm worried about losing that aggressive/sporty control when driving vs the Benz more smooth/luxury ride. Is it true that magnetite black is like matte black even though it says its metallic?

And yes that magnetite black is the same colour as matte black only its not matte its metallic which i prefer. The matte makes it look like a kids toy.

C250CDI Coupe
I test drove an audi TT, A5 and the c250, after driving each the MB was for me.
Sport button really is like changing it from a luxury car into a caged beast, firms up suspension rides a bit harder but that's what you want when you're cornering. With it off, it's a great cruiser, took it on some backroads with the dealer and found it handled the bumps and lumpy road without giving me kidney damage.
I have no experience with the BMW's tho, beyond driving a borrowed one from a few years ago. From all the reports, BMW in a sporty situation (tracks etc) have better handling because the electronics don't hamper you where the MB will kick in electronic enhancements when you're getting more aggressive.
For me, I'm not going to see a track with the car and if i go through a windy mountain the sports mode will be great.
Realistically once you find the race start feature that's about as sporty as most people get and the 250 gets to 62mile/100kph in 7.1 seconds, this is better than the cvt based a5 (8 seconds) and about the same as a comparable 3 series. Dollar for dollar it was the better featured sport/luxury car from the German cars that I was playing with.
Nothing compares to someone who's had one for more than a day though... So hopefully we get some other impressions.
Worthwhile reviews that helped me decide:

drove one this afternoon while waiting for my GLK to get washed. One thing I'll say is AWESOME! very tempting to have a coupe again. I really like the interior not to plain and not to savvy like a luxury japanese car that will rival a jet cockpit. the advance agility package is really nice. One thing i don't really like is when you are looking from an angle or from the side within the first glance you will see the shape of the US honda accord coupe. The glass and the rear fender and almost going to the tail lights...copy cat of a honda. I even parked it right besides a 2010 honda accord coupe and I just said to myself "hell no! why does it look the same!"http://www.flickr.com/photos/23934980@N08/6176716039/

He didn't say that it was like a Honda. He said that at a glance it looked like the back end of one which based on the posted picture it's hard to argue with. In my opinion while both cars are good looking, the Mercedes is stunning. Clearly the Mercedes is a superior car in every way.

The Merc is definitely the much better car, no doubt, but damn does it look like the Accord! The C-Pillar and entire greenhouse (namely the C-Pillar kink.... Which some people say is M-B's first time copying BMW's Hoffmeister as well), with the fat thick door frame (why does a Coupe have a framed door?) is exactly Accord.
I always thought that this generation Accord Coupe was really nice though anyway, and I'm surprised that I don't see more on the roads.
