Hey guys! Jav here from Toronto, Canada. New to mbworld.org.

Just booked my first benz and delivery is end of November 2011. Getting the C250 coupe w/ black interior.
I can't seem to decide on a exterior color. Mainly I can't decide between Calcite white or the Diamond Metallic white?

There are a lot of mixed suggestions out there which haven't helped me. Is the metallic really worth the extra $890? What do you guys think?

Here in the States the Diamond White is $1515.00 extra.

I had the same question as you, can't really tell the difference between them, the dealer said metallic paint will look more shinning when under the sun, reflects more, etc.. but I ended up picking Palladium silver...

white is pretty cool too, my 2nd choice.

btw how do you know yours is coming in end of November? my dealer told me it's end of December for mine... @@

Ya I like the white cuz of the glass roof. Looks sick. I'll probably stick with the calcite since its not much different.

I booked the car end of Sept so they said I'll get October production and delivery end of Nov. when did u book yours? What dealership?

I just ordered Diamond white C350 coupe from Mercedes Benz Mississauga. I saw it on a CLS coupe and loved the shine. I think its worth the extra money and it helps differentiate the car from all the Calcite white C-Class Sedans.

I have exactly the same decision to make, ie. have settled on white now it's between calcite and diamond 'bright' white - that's at least what they call it here in Australia.

I've seen both in the flesh and the calcite seems to be more of an 'off white' ie. it looks a little yellow-ish, is this other peoples' conception too ??

The diamond bright white seems to be a whiter shade of white (if that makes any sense) compared to calcite and I like the way the metallic effect gives off when exposed to sunlight

I would prefer a solid colour over metallic, but so far I'm leaning towards diamond bright white because it looks nicer.

I like Audis 'ibis' solid white colour, pity MB dosn't have anything similar.

Good point, I will consider that too as here in Australia the C Class sedan is a top seller and lots of them seen around here are calcite white

Very good points..i def dont want to be looking like the many sedans driving around. I will strongly consider the diamond white if it's not too late..

booked mine at Oakville. hoping they dont screw me with the end of Nov delivery.

I was in the same dilema when I bought my 2011 E-Coupe. Ended up going for the Diamond White and I dont regret it. Love the color and shine. You wont regret it.

+1, I wanted Diamond, but I don't think it's worth $1515. So, I just got Arctic. (Is that Calcite in Canada?)

Alright I went with the Diamond White. The dealership was able to get the car much earlier than anticipated and I'm picking it up later today!
