Anyone from Australia drive the new C Coupe?

A couple more reasons why I'm leaning towards the oiler is I do high k's (around 30-35,000km per annum) and intend on keeping this vehicle long term, at least 6 or 7 years maybe more, hence AFAIK the CDI would be the way to go

On a side note, we got a call from the dealer today saying that the ship docks in Sydney some time next week, then the car gets put on a truck and brought down here. So with a bit of luck we should have it around Xmas time!
I find diesel cars way too noisy (even S class), and would probabaly never drive one.

I have had my C250 petrol since August 2011 and have done about 4000km's already with no problems at all.
great car, one of the best handling mercs ever,
Mine is Tenorite grey with Alpaca leather (black carpet and plastics, with grey seats and lower dash board), and the only factory options are metallic paint and Vision package. C250 already has a lot of standard features like GPS and real leather, 18" wheels and dynamic handling pack so overall i am very satisfied.
Considered AMG sports package but doesnt look that much different?
Might upgrade eventually to 20" wheels and lowering, but with dynamic handling pack might stuff it up... ?

New to the forum, & plan to get a 250 CDi Coupe around mid year 2012.
Anyone willing to share the pricing they've achieved, particularly with the sort of option packs included? I'm in Brisbane, but prices will be similar anywhere in Australia. (Don't get me started on pricing compared to the US, even though our dollar is worth more than theirs. At least our cars are a higher standard spec!)
This will be my first ever Benz, so I'm happy to order exactly what I want, & wait for it to be built to order.
Good to see a few coupes hitting the roads in Oz. saw a 250 CDi Coupe in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane last week. Looked great, & he obviously enjoying the diesel torque...

It's definitely nice to see another fellow Australian here. If I remember correctly, we are the only two remaining who are yet to make the purchase.
What specs are you thinking?
By the way, I currently drive a MK6 Golf as well. Nice cars for everyday driving and I'll definitely be sad to see it go when the time comes.
The piano black was horribly plasticky. Glad I went the aluminum.
BTW car is Obsidian Black with vision pack, comfort pack, drive assist pack plus and rev camera (which the dealer threw in!)
Just took it for its first highway run today and it drives brilliantly. The diesel is effortless.

At least that's what mine has.
In the past German manufacturers change tyres depending on availability and contracts.
For example my previous Audi A4 had bridgestones whilst my mates car which was identical spec bought a week apart from a different dealer has continentals.

Yeah, feeling a little left out, as I haven't even ordered mine yet.
Here's what I'm leaning towards:
C 250 CDi Coupe, either Obsidian Black or Iridium Silver, with black dash & red leather.
Driving Assist Pack
Vision Pack
Maybe Comfort Pack; not sure don't really need memory seats, bu would like Keyless-Go
Do you happen to know if the memory seats come with the ventilation option in Oz? Heated seats are part of the Comfort pack.
I actual have 2 Golf 6's at the moment.
One is a 103 TDi DSG wth the RNS510.
The other is a 118TSi DSG with just about everything. Self parking, adjustable suspension. Premium sound.
The RNS510 has a 30Gb HDD, with the SatNav, Bluetooth etc all built in.
The Command system only has 10Gb, but I guess I'll just run music off an SD card or USB stick.
I'm looking forward to the voice control in the Command system.
Saw a You Tube video of a guy entering destination for the nav, only using voice.
Can't wait, but realistically it will be end of June 2012 before I order.

As far as I know I think comfort pack only comes with heated seats (although someone who has actually ordered may be able to clarify). For me, the only appeal for comfort pack is electric seats and I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $. We won't be swapping drivers much or taking back seat passengers so really don't know if it's necessary.
Does anyone know if the seats are full manual without the pack?
You can spec ventilation over and above the comfort pack and they should quote you a cheaper price for the option.
Not sure if you can spec it with Ted leather though as vented seats only come as 1 design from what I understand.

Only drivers seat is part electric in standard trim level, Comfort package provides full electric seat functions for both driver and passenger sides.
Full ventilated seat option is a separate option on its own and not part of the comfort package.
Heated front seats is standard on standard trim level.
I'm with JPMB1 on my decision to go with with the comfort package, ie. because I really wanted keyless entry and start, I mean even basic Hyundais are getting keyless entry and go these days so I definitely wanted that in my Merc LOL having multi position full electric memory front seats is just a bonus
