I would say that if the mounting clips/points are the same all around the grille opening, then it should fit. That said, I'm not too blown away by it... I like the OEM stock grille better.

I love the look of the AMG 1-fin grill.

I painted the top part of my grill black to be similar to AMG, just 2 fins

Great question. I was thinking the same thing. I know the pre-facelift C63 and non-AMG grills were not interchangeable b/c the C63 had a slightly larger bumper.

Worth a shot!

The C63 grille will not fit. However, the 2012 sedan uses the same grille as the pre-facelift (2008-2011) w204. This leads me to believe that perhaps the coupe uses that same grille (since I believe the front-end is the same, but I could be mistaken).

I am picking up my coupe come Jan 1, 2012. So I will try to fit my aftermarket w204 grille into the new c250 coupe. If that fits, it means we can use any of those grilles (which also have c63 replicas). But that is the old style grille. The new style c63 grille is similar to the "SL" styled w204 grille, so that could work until a new aftermarket grille is produced.

Will keep you guys updated.

A replica c63 Coupe grille has finally been made to fit the pre-facelift w204 sedans. I will try tomorrow to fit my old w204 pre-facelift grille into my new C250 coupe. If it fits, this means that those replica c63 grilles will fit our cars, and give us the same grille as the C63 coupe.

Are you saying that this fits the 2012 coupes? Definitely would be a nice first upgrade.

Ok, I have test fit my pre-facelift w204 c300 4matic aftermarket "SL Style" grille onto my c250 coupe. Got some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that it fits, the clips on the bottom of the bumper match up, it is the correct height (so the hood doesn't hit/break it), and the two side tabs also fit in perfectly/securely.

However, there is one issue. The small "t-bar" that sits behind the MB star in the hood, which supports the top/middle of the grille, is not as wide on the coupe as it was on the pre-facelift sedans. This means that you won't be able to get those two circular tabs into the holes on the grille.

Personally, I think that the grille is certainly "secure enough" where it won't be an issue and I am keeping my grille on. But, if you do press in on the middle (but more towards the very top) the grille does flex a little bit. So I would use caution when washing the car.

Pics to follow soon - stupid photobucket upgrade has the site down...

Would zip ties help?

yeah, that could help. You can't zip tie to the t-bar, but I'm pretty sure there is another surface right by there that you can ziptie it to. But it would have to be really thin to fit through the holes on the grille. Almost to the point where a ziptie would be very weak. Some string or fishing line would probably be better.

I will try to take pictures tomorrow of this if i remember!

That looks much better than the stock grill. Hopefully aftermarket grills come out for our coupes soon.
