I currently have an audi a5, but Im falling in love with a white c coupe with red interior. I've never dealt with mercedes before so i have no idea how much savings I can get from them.
Can anyone give me some insight on what dealerships will discount on these cars? I live in Texas. I went to truecar.com and it looks like 3% is what some dealerships are offering, but can i get more?
Anyone know of a dealership in texas that will give more than a 3% discount?

your best bet is find out the exact invoice of the car you are looking for, if you know someone at a good dealer, they could do as low as invoice+500 and bad one will not move a penny.

If its end of the month aand they just want to fill sales numbers usually they would do it other than that you have to know the sales manager personally to get things like that

for the invoice+500, are you guys talking about the price before tax or after tax?
Cuz I got mine exactly on invoice before tax but anyone else on this forum seem to get a better price than mine.

it would be always before tax, you can't get away from tax, dealer will not do anything about the tax

+1... I got it from my brother's good friend at invoice, but the lease prices these guys are spouting off indicate it's easy to go under invoice.Originally Posted by whitemocha

Don't forget both MSRP and Invoice are dealer manufactured numbers, so I might believe some of the hype.

Bingo. Contact 10 different dealers and bounce the best quotes back and forth between all of them. I paid about $1,100 under invoiceOriginally Posted by ImmaBeSmug2

Then I think getting 10% off MSRP is a great deal. My dealer said he would give me 10% off but I was thinking 15%...Originally Posted by bshrode

By the way, White with Red Interior you will HAVE to special order since most of the ones in dealer stock are MB-Tex.

How do I find out the exact invoice of a car if I want to special order it? I don't know anyone at a dealer who can do this for me. Some guy posted he got a MSRP 44k car for only 299/month with tax and only had to put 2500 down (all inclusive). I need to strike a deal of this sort!

You can build a car and get the invoice price on Edmunds. But it's just an invoice and often there are several thousand dollars of MB promotions kickbacks to the dealer that you have no way to seeOriginally Posted by Ryan9095

You can definitely get more than 5% off MSRP at ANY dealership, if not, RUN, don't walk to another. I got my car for 7,500 off MSRP ($43,800). Selling price was $36,300. However, this was not in straight dealer discount, I had $3,500 in incentives. So I got it for nearly 17% off MSRP, with 8% in incentives making the other 9% in dealer discount.

you would have to act like a girl, play hard to get, go to the dealer and say im looking into these three cars including the coupe. they will say i can only offer you a 1k discount. and be like i can offer this thats it and walk away they will have no choice but to call you and follow up and work their magic. lol

I got my C250 coupe for 6% off MSRP (which I have been told is invoice and through Costco) less $750 in dealer incentives and $2000 in Conquest discount. I also got a discount on the 3yr PPM. I am leasing the car. Got an additional reduction in the MF due to direct automatic deposit. The 3 year residual with only 7,500 miles per year was 70%. Monthly lease is $404 before San Francisco use tax and $450 drive off. MSRP - $46,000.
