Leasing Your C250 Coupe---Share Details!

Regarding the 24 month residual it may be high but you are spreading it out over only 24 periods. The 36 month is around 66-70% depending on mileage (7500 miles being the highest residual), however, it is being divided over more periods. The MF should be .00225 unless they are padding it, and if you are able to do auto pay there is about 10 basis points saved.

I got my C coupe for $450 a month with tax included $454 drive off. The car's MSRP is $46.664 with 3 year maintenance. All docs and fees included.

Don't bother. I have a guy in Connecticut who could match my guy here California. I got my 2012 CLS from him. Let me know via PM if interested.

I take this comment back. I found out the residuals on C250s for 24 months with 10K miles is 77% and the C350s are 76%. It's more with 7500 miles and obviously less with 12K or 15K miles. It appears that 24 months may be the way to go depending on MF and discounts. I will be trying to negotiate another lease for a friend with these new residuals in mind.

So I priced out a C250 Black/ash with lighting package, P1 and Command nav with a retail of $42,310. A 24 month lease with 10K miles per year is $435 (includes San Francisco tax) and $454 down and auto payment. I'm trying to get my buddy into it.

2012 C250 Coupe
This is what I got $44k MSRP sticker, 12k miles per year, 24 months, $299 per month with $2,500 out of pocket (due at signing, includes all taxes, fees and first months payment) and includes 2 years pre-paid maintenance. Essentially this is the same as $0 out of pocket, $400 per month. Just because I was curious, I went to nissan to see what they wanted for an Altima coupe. Simulated the same term, car was $28k sticker and their first offer was $2,500 out of pocket, $350 per month. I then had to haggle to get it down to the same $299 a month. So I got a $44k c250 coupe for the same price you can get a $28k altima coupe. And I don't even think the altima included maintenance... LOL
The residual is ALWAYS higher on 24 months vs 39 months (because the car will always depreciate as time passes). However, on the lease numbers in December 2011 (when I bought the two c250 coupes) when you priced out the "true cost" of each lease, the 24 month option was better. I don't know what the numbers are for Jan 2012 or this coming Feb though. This was because the percentage cost of the car's value for depreciation was larger in the 36/39 month term than the 24 month term (meaning not as good of a deal). Usually, it is the other way around, with cars estimated to lose a bigger percentage of depreciation in the first 24 months instead of the 24-39 month period. The only theory I can suggest on why it is priced/estimated to be this way is that since it is a completely new model, the demand for it will still be high for the next 2 years. And then when they start to come off-lease and have used ones available (after 24 months) the demand will fall for new cars, taking a bigger percentage hit in depreciation.
Also, I doubt anyone will be able to receive a price as good as mine, I also qualified for $3,500 in promotions ($2,000 mercedes loyalty, $1,500 through work). And since we bought two, the dealer sold them at a HUGE discount, selling price on both cars was $36,xxx and the MSRP on both were $44,xxx. This is about a 18.2% discount off MSRP. I'm not sure where the extra $3,500 in incentives came in, maybe it just takes it straight off the MSRP? This would explain the extreme discount...

jctevere, great deal! Too bad the C coupes are hot here in Northern Cal. I heard from my dealer in CT and he can't even sell the 2 coupesa allotted to him. He's had them for over 3 months now. Once the 4matics come out he'll be in a better sales position.

I'm desperately trying to put a deal together. I'm getting all these crappy high 400's WITHOUT tax even with $2500 down. Based on the numbers you guys are quoting (and you are barely putting anything down) my payment *should* be lower 300's with the $2500.... Help!
Also, the car I want is only $40,155... so it's a few thousand LESS than most cars plus I should be getting a $2k conquest incentive on top of the discount!

Mercedes Benz C250 2012
Hi all, new to the forum, and actually picking up my C250 tomorrow!
I just leased a C250 Coupe - in Toronto - they had a deal, 4Matic for free - but the 250 does not have 4 Matic, so got 2200 off, then they give you 3 months payments back (450/mth - 1350), traded in my Audi for 7000, and have to pay 3300 on delivery - monthly works out to 436/mth for a 4 year lease 18000km/yr, with the Premium, Navi and Sport packages.
Any other Torontoians got anything??

samin1972, for clarification did you have to pay CAD 3300 along with your CAD 7000 trade? If so, you're payments come to about CAD 650 a month. Otherwise, if they gave you the CAD 7000 as cash you have an effective lease rate of CAD 505 (not including the 3 free payments, which would make the monthly even higher). Is that correct?

Well the trade went against the cost of the vehicle, and the 3300 was the security (which will be returned after the lease ends), 1st month (returned as part of their 3 month deal), and the the delivery, fuel and all of their crap charges. for the "4Matic for all event" they took 2200 off the cost of the car.
So for the 48 month lease, 18000km per year, comes to 436 (inclusive of HST - 13% tax).
Hope I explained that better
What do you think, good deal?
I actually chose this dealership because of the treatment and price - it is about 100km from me.

Hey guys, I am also ready to pull the trigger on leasing a 2012 c250. I'm abandoning the bmw make and their tasteless interior designing; and joining you benz fanatics. I'm from south florida, and am currently shopping quotes. I've been offered ridiculous numbers on a 2012 c250 sports sedan, w/ the premium 1 & lighting packages.(I'll attach the quotes when I get home from work, so you can see what I'm dealing with!)
I'm pretty much at the point where I'm about to tell this guy to go **** himself while I go talk to another dealership; maybe then he'll finally learn how to negotiate.. But before I cross that bridge, I wanted to drop in here and see if you guys have any references who can offer me some competitive quotes? Maybe you'll receive a finders fee for referring me, if I buy?
Thanks.

Can't help you with dealers in that location, but here is a recommendation. Don't worry about going into another dealership - just do it, visit 3 of them! Get them working for your business.
I always found, and I am sure it is true in the US as well, that locations out of busy city areas are more aggressive to sell and willing to negotiate - I bought by car (well leased) for over $100 per month cheaper, but went 100km away to get it - away from the city, and the sales guys are more aggressive, and actually treat you better.
I have always found this to be the case, so I go to at least 3 dealers to get quotes and tell them that you are looking around!

I honestly think that the best prices were available before April. I'm paying less than $400 and I put way less money upfront than that. Also I have Nav, Backup cam, P1 and everything that comes with it, Harmon Kardon etc. The things I don't have that I really wanted was the Flaminco Interior, Lighting package and the AMG 18's, and last but certainly not least Keyless GO. But I wasn't willing to pay more than $400/mo and I have a $44,xxx car for less than what I'd be paying for a comparable 328 coupe.

The best price was in December/Jan as far as leasing goes for the residuals. They were unheard of, with I believe still 81% for 24 months, and 77% for 36 months. That's astonishing! Not to mention that MBUSA was willing to eat up to 8 of your current lease payments!

my bmw's were never that high... and they normal have great residuals comparatively speaking.
