How to enable the 'Text Message' System on the c250

New iOS7 Update - text messaging issue
2013 Mercedes-Benz C250
SO, it looks like I got the text messaging to work (the car will show me my text message if I navigate to the Phone part of the COMMAND system).
Bummer, ever since I updated to iOS7 my text messaging system no longer would read my messages. This is so strange. Can anyone please help me? Do I need to contact Mercedes for them to update my COMMAND software/system?

Oh for sure, I made sure that was checked. My phone calls work just fine. I can make/receive phone calls. But ever since I updated to iOS7, it won't read any of my text messages. It worked with the last OS on this same iPhone 5.
Well, I am lying. I replaced the iPhone 5 with another one. BUT the only difference between both my iPhones was the iOS system. They were both the 5 and it READ my text messages on the iOS 6 system.

AND - let me just add that I don't see a "Show Notifications" option. When I am under the "Phone" tab, I see Bluetooth on the bottom and "Import contacts from 'my iPhone'" is checked.
I believe these were the same settings that I had prior with the older OS (while it was working)
