C250 Coupe and C350 Coupe age of buyers??
Hello all,
I am new to the forum and this is my very first post. I must say this is a great resource.
I am considering a C350 coupe and was wondering the age of people buying this car? I am 42 and was wondering if the car is age appropriate or am I a bit too old and whether an E350 coupe would be better?
Also, it seems very hard to find the C350 coupe. Are you aware if MB will be increasing production in the near future?
Thanks

I really don't believe age has anything to with vehicle choice especially for car enthusiasts, it more or less comes down to what you really want/need and what you can afford to buy

Having said that i'm 36 so depends on your point of view if i'm young or old
As there's only very little difference between the e and the c, the C traditionally was always aimed at the "young executive" but who's to say that's what it has to be? THe way I look at it, the C is a little sportier, cheap S class. The E series are softer/more of a cruiser. So depends on what kind of car you have an emotional attachment to, soft cruiser or harder & sportier.

I've heard that the first 2 numbers on the model denote the maximum age allowed. By that reasoning you should look at the C63 coupe.

Thank you for the thoughtful and kind-hearted responses. I was concerned that I was going to get some pretty tough answers but got just the opposite! A nice welcome to the forum for sure... I think I will opt for the C350. They seem pretty hard to find though...i've seen many C250s at local dealerships but no C350s. Why is that? Is there some sort of production shortage??

I'm 26 w/ a c250 coupe. If u ask Mercedes the target market for the c coupe they'll most likely tell u its for the younger buyers. Whereas the E, S, SL, CLS, CL arguably are for the older buyers.
End of the day ur driving a Benz, enjoy! Just avoid putting 20's on the car and dropping it, that might get you some looks and not the good kind

2012 C250 Coupe
I'm 21 with my coupe, my other brother lucked out and he "splits" the car with my dad, he takes him to work and he gets to use it for school, lucky brat, he is 17 and just got his license... My dad is 55. I don't think it is unusual for an "old" person to be in it, lol. I think it is a youthfulish car, but older people don't look out of place in it. You just seem down to earth, haha.
As long as you don't have tons of grey hair, and wear those old person black sunglasses that blind/really old people wear, I think it will be a great fit!

Im 38, but before the advent of the C class coupe would never have considered Mercedes as an option as they always struck me as a 'mature choice'. Everyone i work with has either a BMW 3 series Coupe or an Audi A5, it has caused a bit of a stir!

Have to agree !!! same for me, already stated my age and case, but before this new C Class coupe I would never have considered owning a MB despite how good an overall vehicle they really are, from my observations so far with the MB people I'm dealing with here in Aust. the C Class coupe is selling very well to both young and old and both existing and new MB customers, this new C Class variant will do big things for MB the World over during the course of its model run

55 here. Actually I find a coupe easier to get out of with my creeky knees as the door opens wider than a sedan. And the seats have more side support than the sedan.

'12 C204 C250, '05 SLK350 (sold)
30 here. Came from a '05 R171 SLK350 6MT when I was 23, then a E60 530i (handled well but hated the tech/interior), and fell in love with the C250 Coupe's interior/exterior styling and tech. Mercedes has done well in being aggressive with its pricing vs BMW for the W204 refresh. Hope to see many more C204'ers here!
