Tire Pressure
Picked up the 2012 C250 COUPE last week. I am having trouble checking the tire pressure of the car.
I selected "service->tire pressure->and "run flat indicator active press "ok" to restart message appeared.
So I restarted it and I read from the manual that it would show the tire pressure for all 4 four wheels after a few minutes of driving. However, I drove around 20 minutes and nothing showed up. It displays "Tire Pressure Monitor Active" instead...
Thanks for reading my question.
Cheers,

This function doesnt show tyre pressure. Only tyre pressure drops that are severe. It recently went off on my car as I picked up a puncture. Was quite handy in fact as I pulled into a garage and got the tyre repaired. The pressure had dropped to 23psi.
The reset just let's the system know what the correct pressure is so it knows what to compare it to. It uses the abs to do this rather than tyre pressure monitors.

Thanks for your reply. So, is there any way of checking the tire pressure when they are normal and not punctured? I remember seeing an image somewhere on the internet showing the psi of all 4 wheels on the dashboard display, but I am not sure how to go about it. Help please =)

My 12 C350 does show the actual tire pressure at each wheel. I love having htis by the way and it is quite acurate as well. I am not sure why the C250 would not? If they skimped out on the advanced tire pressure system on the C250's that is seriously LAME. I thought in June of 2010 all MB models went with the more advanced system.
They used to have two different versions of the tire TPMS. One was called "Tire Pressure Monitor System" The other is called "Advance Tire Pressure Monitor System". Sounds like you have the "Not Advanced" system.
Look at your Window Sticker and see what system was built into your car. I used to have a 2008 C300. I looked a my sticker and it shows "Tire Pressure Monitor System". That car had the basic like yours.
My new C350 Sticker shows "Advanced Tire Pressure Monitor System". My 12 does indeed show the pressure per wheel.
I had this same exact thing happen with the GLK350. I bought an early GLK350 and it did not have the pressure display for each wheel. Well, I traded that base GLK later in July that year and got another 2010 GLK (more options) and it DID have hte tire pressure displayed. The change happed in June of 2010. Any GLK built after June had the more advanced system.

Not sure if the American market is different. Generally tpms is a mandatory requirement for run flats, which thankfully you don get.
So what's the right way of checking all the pressure on the tires? Thanks.
The canadian version of the car doesn't have the accurate tire pressure monitor system. In america, it's mandatory to have this system installed (the only country i think). When you have this system installed, each wheel must have a chip thing installed behind the valve so it can relay the psi pressure to the car. The downside to this is if you want aftermarket rims (for modding purposes), you need to install the same chip into each of the rims as well or else the onboard computer will yell at you every time you start the car. On the otherhand, the canadian (and many other countries) version uses some sort of algorithm (i forgot how) to find a discrepancy between the wheels. This version is less accurate and can only tell if there is, say, a puncture.
I have a C350 coupe in canada, and that doesn't have the accurate tire pressure monitor as well. IMO, I find that much better than the US version. If you really wanted to check the tire pressure, get down and dirty and actually twist open the valve cap and use a psi meter. Don't have a psi meter? Then go to any gas station, ask the clerk to lend you one, and inflate the tires there.

How often do you guys fill your tires? Just need a rough idea. Am new to driving a Benz =)

I normally run 38psi in the fronts and it has dropped to 23.
Swung into the garage got the repair and was on the road in about an hour.
