AGILITY PACKAGE RIDE COMFORT VS NON AGILITY PACKAGE
Hello.
I want to know from others who have driven both the C350 with and without the Advanced Agility Package (Sport Button). NOT THE BUTTON AT THE BASE OF THE SHIFTER FOR COMFORT OR ECONOMY.
How much of a difference is there?
Specifically;
In a C350 with the sport button turned off how does ride quality compare to the C350 WITHOUT the sport button? In other words, with the sport mode turned off is the ride quality the same as the C350 without the package?
Is the car with the Agility Package overall much stiffer than the unit without the package?
I hear alot of talk about not purchasing this car without the Advance Agility Package. But I find my car even without the package is already quite a bit stiff around town driving on crappy roads.

I drove the c350 with the parameter steering and the agility package. I like the stock steering better, for the time that I spent with the car. Which was not much time at all.

I dont have the agility package on my C250, but i wish i has as the car even with the AMG suspension is far to wollowy and slack, certainly nowhere near as tight as my Scirocco was...dissapointed.

I think the scirocco is a bit more sport oriented. If they sold a scirocco R in the USA I would have gotten one over the C coupe. One can only dream...

I believe suspension wise (steering aside) the cars with agility package do ride stiffer all around whether in sport mode or not. I was all about the agility package, and honestly, I'm perfectly happy with my non agility package 350 coupe. I never got a chance to drive one, but I have driven other cars (e class) both with and without and never really noticed much difference.

Advanced Agility on the C250 is generally stiffer than I prefer in the city. However, on the freeways it does feel more planted to the road with a more precise steering feel and reaction.

C350 Coupe 2012 (C204)
I have the C350 w/ agility package
With Sport mode ON:
-Steering is lighter and more precise
-Suspension is stiffer and bumps on the road are more pronounced
-IMO incredible throttle response (tends to stick at the 3k-4k range)
With Sport mode OFF:
-Steering feels soft and insane body roll, just like a Mercedes
-Suspension is soft (for a coupe anyways and good for a slow drive across town)
-throttle is very unresponsive IMO (likes to stay below 1k at cruise so when u gas a bit it hardly gets going)
I'm not sure if the non-agility package cars has the same feel as when the sport mode is off as my test drive car (C250) had the agility package as well. Clearly the throttle response won't apply as that's related to the onboard computer and engine. Imo, the ability to change the car's characteristics on the fly is brilliant since there are some days when you're tired and just want to go home without your car killing your back. Just my opinion though

Is the Agility Package the same thing as the Dynamic Handling special order package?

Yikikaze, I just looked up my order sheet, and under the Dynamic Handling package, it is listed:
315 Dynamic Handling Package (Special Order) $ 1,400
213 : Parameter Steering
483 : Advanced Agility Package (Special Order)
786 : 18" AMG Twin 5-Spoke Alloy Wheel
So now I am a bit confused, but it appears the DHP includes the AAP, as well as the steering and wheels. What option does your car have? Your post is entirely relevant as far as I am concerned, and I'd like as many details as possible about the handling packages.

Get the package, you won't regret it.
The steering is SUPER light during normal driving. Once you hit the highway, it locks up and feels BMWish.
I've yet to drive in "e" mode, since I took delivery of the car.

My Monroney label states differently. 315 Advanced Agility package is the main optoin package with Parameter Steering, Advance Agility, and 18" AMG wheels included, along with the paddle shifters. Interesting how MBUSA has them listing in different ways.

2012 C 350 Coupe
I think it is worth it. I have it, and after only a week I definitely can tell the difference on ride quality and throttle response. I think the steering feels fairly close to the same on either setting.
For $1400 INCLUDING the $800 wheels it is kind of a bargain. It actually cost you only $850 extra if you were getting the 18" AMG rims because Mercedes charges you a $250 special order fee for the package.

I did order the Dynamic Handling package, I am just interested in getting feedback on how others like it, and to clarify exactly the differences between the way the options are listed with MB.

Hmm i think Canadian Mercedes does their packages differently. We can't selectively pick out options we want. Every option is in their own respective package.
That being said, I have the sport package, which has the Advanced Agility, AMG 17inch 5 spokes, Shift paddles, "sport details" as well as the Dynamic Handling package. The Canadian C350 came standard with sport package. I'll try to find my actual order sheet so i can list out all the options by order numbers but my house is a mess lol

Yeah I think in Canada a lot of the stuff is already included with the premium package on the 350 just little options like rear view camera and keyless go are separate options, however with the 350 4matic I saw in the brochure that says n/a for the dynamic handling package so I dunno.
