A question for fellow Australians

Hi all,

First time posting up a thread..

I ordered my c250 late april and recently the dealer called me to say that it should be here around the 21st of this month

I am not sure if he meant ready for me to pick up on the 21st or car will be in the showroom on the 21st but still needs to be registered etc..

My q is, how long did you guys have to wait for the car to be registered/tested etc?

Sorry if seems like a dumb q, just its my first new car/benz and i am overwhelmed with excitement

I live in US but anyway I think your dealer can answer your question. In US, usually take 3 months to get the car if you order it. What is the spec. of the car? Have you tested drive one already?

VW Golf MKVI 118TSI and C250 CDI Coupe (on order)
It took 3.5 months for me to take delivery from the date of purchase. It was exactly 10 days from when the car arrived at the docks to me taking delivery, so I'm assuming your timing would be similar to 3 months wait plus 1 -2 weeks compliance/pre delivery servicing.
You're on the home stretch now!

Just wait until you get that call from your dealership to come pick up your car the next day. It's like Xmas all over again!! Lol

I couldn't wait the 3.5months so I call every MB dealer in Australia, gave them my specs list and told them whoever finds this car for me has a 100% sale. Took about one month and they found me my car, only option missing was keyless go, which I'm finding damn annoying as all my previous cars had keyless entry and start! Needless to say I'm still a very happy camper lol

Correct - that is the usual case for MB Australian orders manufactured in Germany for Melb. Aust. delivery.

However it may be different from State to State, so maybe that's the difference there in Perth
