Engine Temperature in cold weather
We've just entered a cold snap here (-20c) and I've noticed my C250 has trouble getting above 70c in engine temp. It also takes at least 15 minutes just to hit 60c. I don't recall it being this low last winter and have to say the temperature inside the car even with the heater on full blast is less than warm.
Just wondering if this is normal or if perhaps the engine thermostate needs to be looked at. Might have to steal my wife's SUV until the temperature warms up.
Any thoughts/comments would be great.
Another option might be to do what my dad did in the 70's and put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator
