You did a very good job there Damien and it'll be a shame to let the C Coupe go next year

I've finally got my exhaust mods on the way, it'll be a few weeks yet before I recieve all the hardware and get it all put together, I've taken a very expensive option with a purpose made high end hardware approach but then I'm not holding back with this vehicle as I love it so much and intend keeping her long term.

I'll post up pics on another thread when it's all done

I would hate to see my car go too but I have a baby on the way and I have two coupe cars. I sold my RR and made out even so now I need room another 4 door. I am hoping that the next c class 2014 will have a competitive engine like in the bmw 335i or Audi S5. If the new c class sedan has a v6 turbo I will stick around MB. Otherwise I am looking at a BMW M sport X3 or M Sport 335i and then JB4 them. LOL I think my need for speed itch is coming back.

Your prayers have been answered - there's a new E400 on the way which will feature a twin turbo 3.0ltr V6 and I believe that engine will make its way into the new C Class as well maybe a C400 ?? so there you go, you'll just have to wait and see what the new C Class will be like

There'll also be a new diesel electric hybrid E Class which will combine the 2.1ltr IL4 twin turbo diesel with an electric motor with a modest 25kw but a hefty 250nm of torque, that combination puts it up to 175kw and a massive 750nm enough to shave 1/2 a sec in acceleration 0-100km/h on an E Class, if the same is transfered over to the new C Class it'll be even higher performance - hopefully these hybrids make it over to the U.S

Thanks so am I !!!

It'll have large shaped oval tips (one each side) which look alot like what RS model Audis have and a high quality 304 stainless steel system axle back - Y piece, 2 fully polished end mufflers and the tips all customed designed, made and tested specifically to suit the C204 C250-CDI

I'll also have that big fin CF diffusor talked about in the other thread, but mine will be painted up in black for a more OEM appearance, heat shield we talked about ages ago will also go in there

It should provide an improvement to response as the better flow characteristics will allow the turbos to spool earlier and there should also be a slight gain in power as verified by the manufacturers dyno testing.

However power wise I've already got more than enough, the tune myself and another member on this forum are currently running has our CDI's pushing over 600nm torque (same or more than a C63) and the better part of 200kw, acceleration at certain rev and speed regimes is astonishingly quick for a diesel and I can still get a return of up to 50mpg with that tune running, best of all Worlds I love it

Yes,Yes,Yes we get it just another C250 with quad exhaust. This site is starting to get real boring. Everyday another post of some C250 with quad exhaust on it? This is really getting played out. Why does this require a post.

Nice ^^^ looks good

Just like DameMD's it suits very well and it's a great end result.

Sure does make a huge difference having a nice symmetrical look to the rear of the vehicle, should've been that way from factory.

Since those previous posts I've now done mine with a SuperSprint exhaust and custom diffusor, sounds and goes so much better than the stock OEM set up on my CDI engined coupe and it looks unique as well

Will do

Here's a couple of pics of the car and one showing the full SuperSprint system made for the C250-CDI that I chose to use.

The diffusor is a CF unit but I had it painted up in gloss black as I prefer that finish and it matches up nicely to the panoramic roof glass above

WOW, very nice!!! I was looking for something like a dual muffler initially, then I started looking at X and Y pipes, but after talking to some people who had stuff done similar to this on their luxury cars, I decided to go this route. I'm happy with it.

Most definitely, it's the end result that you see or the visual improvement that matters and both yours and Damians' look great

I went that extra step or 2 with the exhaust (which is out of view hidden underneath) because I was set on a proper dual system and didn't want any problems or issues of the type other people have had as you mentioned, so the SuperSprint was the end choice it cost a small fortune but it delivers exactly as specified by the manufacturer, couldn't be happier

Exactly as you said, the visual improvement. Yours looks great too!

I'm throwing on the rims now, so I'll post a pic of my car in the pic thread when it's done.

^^^ pre-update C63 wheels - Nice, I've seen them on a lot of C Class's they suit this model very well

If your car dosn't have the AMG suspension package definitely do the springs, nicely lowered C Coupes look awesome

Front strut brace will stiffen up the chassis on the front end for sure as well.

Casper .... Looking good man! I am glad you went that route. Also, thanks for the s/o. I been so busy recently to respond and browse the forums like I used too.

AV1 setup is nice too for the diesel engines. I think they need the back pressure using the two mufflers. Me personally, the less mufflers the better lol

Hello Damien hope all is going well with your coupe and your modded exhaust is all running smoothly

As for the twin mufflers of the SuperSprint system according to their technical literature and from conversations directly with them, all their systems actually reduce backpressure compared to the OEM system it's replacing in the case of my diesel the reduction is substantial but it's all a calculated quantity - too much or too little back pressure along with incorrect flow dynamics within the pipes and mufflers is bad, it all needs to be correct for the optimum result.

Diesel engines flow more air and the fuel is denser therefore have a lot more exhaust gas flow than petrol engines, so usually an exhaust flow relief or de-restriction is welcomed, but it's not always the case with petrols, especially N/A with too little back pressure they don't run very well and what a lot of people don't realise is that this can also cause problems to the engine itself, the most common being adverse effects on the valves and valve seat recession in the cylinder heads.

I've now played around with exhaust mods on so many different car types and engines to know that simply going for a maximum reduction in back pressure dosn't always work and can also be detrimental to the engine, it needs to be the correct amount of back pressure and gas flow for that particular engine type, the only way to really know what to use is a tried and proven combination that's already been tested and sorted out.

Hello

I suggest keep hassling them for the correct part no.'s of what your require, AFAIK sedan and coupe C Class share the same end mufflers for the same variant, hence maybe why the part no.'s are the same.

If your wanting OEM C350 coupe mufflers and they are specific what you can also do is is actually physically examine a C350 coupe in an MB service department and get the part no.'s as they're stamped on the mufflers

What part are you looking for, can you be a little more specific? Are you referring to the rear diffuser?
