Quad Tips and X-Pipe Installed

I just had the Magnaflow X-Pipe installed as well as the quad exhaust tips installed at a local shop for under $100 labor (I bought the x-pipe and tips).

And a couple of pics with the smoked side markers as well:

I always havent wanted to be a fan of the quad top exhaust look on a 250 or 350 but the more I see it the more it grows on me. This is another great example.

Looks really good. That and going quad gives you the ability to get a sweet diffuser.

The x-pipe was throough Amazon; the rear diffuser and tips purchased through E-bay. The markers were also through E-bay

God that rear is sexy lol. Love the tips... Just sold mine.. I think i may buy it again after seeing your pics.

Edit; you should buy spacers to pull your rear wheels out
i installed 20 mm on mine. AMG suspension, same wheel as you and no rubbing. Looks more aggressive.

Can you post up or PM me links to the ebay diffuser and tips?

Did it come with bracket aka everything you needed?

What was total cost shipped?

THANK YOU!

I like! Not really a fan of quad-tips but for our cars, there are not a lot of options for the rear. How is the x-pipe?

Go on ebay motors and search for W204 or C350...something like that. there are different sellers with diffuser options. I decided to go through a seller from California since I live in Las Vegas. The diffuser did not come with the brackets, which were about $12 each.

The tips are in the ebay listings, I really don't have the time to find each link...you are gonna have to put in the effort.

Shipping, of course, varies with your location, so my cost may be significantly different from yours.

Serious? This is a forum where we gather and share experiences, installs, ideas, results, etc...

All you have to do is log in your ebay and post up the item numbers from under MY EBAY... that takes 2 seconds.

The reason being, your RESULTS are nice. They look good, and seemed to have come and been legit... that is why I specifically wanted to know where you got them from because you had success with that seller's product(s).

Not when you delete the items once you purchase them. Besides, I dont have access to the computer at all times, since I am an airline pilot and when I am on my overnights away from home, I prefer to do the things that I need to do.

The eBay link expired so it doesn't work anymore.... That seller doesn't specialize in selling car parts so i guess he has hooks up to get the parts to sell on ebay...

As for diffuser, i bought it at my local dealership, no brackets though. My car didn't need brackets - 2013 C250C.

I created a thread about group buy on quad tips if you're interested. Here's the link: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-c...aust-tips.html

+ 1 and great work capt_paul

However with a quad I'm still adamant about not going the way of a C63 quad.

It is a shame as you say because the AMG quad diffusor is so nice !!!

If only an aftermarket company would make a copy to suit an alternative quad or dual set up, that would be awesome

At idle, the exhaust sounds about the same. When you get into the higher rpms, the exhaust sounds more like a V8 growl.

I did the mod mostly for appearance, and the sound secondarily

The AMG diffuser is direct swap with the stock 2013 C250 coupe without any other modification or hardware?

Is this the one I have to buy?

That's the one I got. You will still have to get the C63 brackets. I don't have the PN's available to me right at hand though. I will try to post them tomorrow.

What is the C63 brackets for? To hold the diffuser in place? What do they look like and how many do I need? Thank you

If you have the post facelift C250 you don't need brackets. At least mine didn't... Just simply bolt on.

The C63 brackets certainly looked different from the C350 brackets that I removed to do the diffuser. I guess its all about how secure you want it mounted. You need a left bracket and a right bracket (one for each side). Ones side of it is bolted in with one bolt and the other side clips into the diffuser.

I don't have any underbody pics of the X-pipe, but there is a picture or two on this forum somewhere, just search for X-pipe and you should be able to see the picture.

I have a post facelifted C250 with diffuser on but no brackets. I would definitely feel safer with the brackets on. If you could keep us posted with the PN's it would be greatly appreciated! :]

I have the diffuser PN 204 885 39 38 which is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-MERCEDES-BENZ-W204-C63-COUPE-ORIGINAL-AMG-REAR-DIFFUSER-C250-C350-COUPE-NEW-/110798872021?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19cc209dd5&vxp=mtr#ht_1397wt_1030
I am referring to this post here:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-c...st-tips-2.html

Where you mention Part No's for the brackets: Left A204 885 46 14 - Right A204 885 47 14, do you happen to have a pic of these brackets?

I ordered PN's 204 885 23 14 and 204 885 24 14 based on a diff post and those were wrong parts.

I am trying to finish up my quad set up, any help would be much appreciated. If anyone has a pic of the correct brackets can someone post?

Thank you in advance.

John
