Correct size tire for 19 x 9.5 rear with 35 offset?
The tyre suggestion you have will probably eliminate scrubbing, but the profile will be thinner and result in a firmer/bumpier ride.
I'm in the process of getting a custom made 3 piece set for mine, ET's are still not final but I expect the rear to not be less than ET 45 and that's in combination with a 9" wide rim.
In your case the only thing you could do to eliminate the problem if you stick with those rims and tyres you have is to get the rear wheels cambered, that may solve the scrubbing issues but will also cause uneven wear and tear to the inside face of the tyre treads.

I've seen alot of other C Class vehicles with low ET 10" wide rear rims, they stick out beyond the edge of the guards, tyres are stretched, some look like they're not even touching the rim lips and some have exaggerated inward cambers to cope withthe obvious problems caused by the wrong ET and possibly rims being too wide as well.
ET 35 will work with other model MB's but it's not suitable for the C Class unless your happy to have the wheels 'hanging out'.
If you have the capacity to change rims that's what I'd be doing, but certainly seek further help and advice from others who know better on this topic
ideal fitment is 8.5 wide fronts +45 offset
9.5 rears +50 offset
or 10et55 for rears (if u go the vossen route)
35 is pretty extreme for our vehicles and bound to have rubbing issues
There were some nice ones made by Avant Garde but they're not making that 5 twin spoke model anymore.
You can check andrew c coupe's thread to see what they look like.
You can also find other replica AMG 5 twin spoke wheels by doing a search over the net they are a cheaper option but you may or may not like them, you just have to keep looking

With the scrubbing, there are ways of finding out exactly where the contact areas are, you could 'chalk up' the tyre edges and then examine where the white mark/s are or you could pull off one of the wheels and search for the obvious wear marks.
From my observations so far (re:rear wheels) in determining the right numbers for my set of custom made 19's there's not alot of clearance even with stock wheels inside the wheel well between the tyre wall and wheel tub wall, so I can see a problem would arise if using a rim that's too wide even with the right offset, your choice of 8.5" wide (same as stock) should be ok in that area

If you do change to another wheel/tyre combination later on please let us know would love to see what you come up with
