C230 Kompressor
C230 Kompressor Coupe Catalytic Converter
Hi guys,
Brand new to the forum, here to hopefully find out some information so that I can fix an issue with my car. I drive a C230 Kompressor Coupe that shakes violently when put into drive/reverse from cold start. (It's an automatic) when it warms up it's fine- but with cold weather, it will stall out completely when put into gear. I brought it into the shop 3 times regarding this issue and they just can't seem to figure it out, however have determined the tapping loud noise to be the catalytic converter. Although it is not broken- it's very much louder than it should be- and Im wondering if this could be the issue I am facing. The vehicle has low Kilometers, and I am the second owner. Could it pertain to the fuel used? I haven't had the vehicle for long- I only use premium gas, but I'm wondering if the previous owner may have used regular.. Could this be a scenario in which could affect the converter?
Thanks for your responses and help

You didn't mention the year of your car but it sounds like you need to be in the W203 Section.
