Installing C63 AMG Front/Rear Sway Bars

The C63 sway bars are 1 mm greater diameter than those found on my C350. I installed the front bar in about 45 minutes. I expect delivery of the rear sway bar tomorrow. I know that I have to lower the rear support in order to remove and install the rear bar. Does anyone know if I have to lower it completely, or can I lower it just a little in order to gain access, The WIS for the rear support removal is for the complete removal of the said support.

Hello capt paul, PM 'Blickling' from your other thread on this topic as he's changed his sway bars and may have the answers to the above

I'm interested to know the outcome differences of your car once you've done the above mod as I'm also thinking of upgrading the sway bars on my C Coupe either using the OEM C63 hardware as you've done or quality aftermarket hardware as Blickling has done, TIA.

Pretty sure the Eibach ones are even thicker than the C63 ones...

While I'm typing this I may as well check the online catalogue and contribute...

Now I've forgotten what the C63 ones are...

ahh anyway.

Eibach Front 28mm
Eibach Rear 21mm

I believe a member did the Eibach kit on a sedan and the front was incrediblly easy to install, but the rear took something ridiculous like 2-3 hrs labor to install. This was the only thing that kept me from buying the kit.

The front sway bar was removed and replaced in about 1.5 hrs. I was mainly interested in finding out if I needed to remove the rear axle carrier completely or just lower it just enough. I have the WIS instructions, which has you disconnect a bunch of stuff to lower the carrier. Either way, I will be installing the bar in the next seek.

did the c63 front sway bars provide a noticeable difference?
what I'm looking for is a less light feeling when steering at high speeds on the highway. my bmw had a much heavier feeling. -
i don't think i will do rear sway bars because it is a time consuming job and i don't feel like the car ever fishtails at all.
have you tried a front strut bar?
what kind of rear spoiler is that in your picture?

Resurrecting an old thread as not to start a new one.
Any feedback on the install? how different is the ride and handling?
Also, i'm assuming the C63 sway bars will not fit an AWD 350?

Anyone have the pet numbers to the Eibach sway bars?

Has anyone installed or talked to H&R about their sway bars?

Alex
