Jack Stands... anyone used them
i am abut to do an oil change and need to get under the car. I searched but didn't find anything on using jack stands under the car. anyone seen on how/where to place jack stands? don't want to damage the underside.

On ebay, I bought a set of jackstands that have the rectangular blocks attached that fit in the recess points under the car. They are a high quality product and they work great. I am away from home now, so I don't have the company name or part number on hand though

I use a low-profile aluminum floor jack that I purchased from Harbor Freight Tools.
For an oil change, you may want to use an oil extractor that sucks oil from the dipstick tube, then you will not have to jack up the car to service the oil, and the oil filter is serviced from the top as well.
