2012 C250 Fuel Pump Low Pressure/Warranty Coverage
Hi,
I have a 2012 C250 coupe with just over 50k miles on it. When I get to higher speeds it has trouble shifting gears and my independent Mercedes mechanic diagnosed it as low pressure from the fuel pump, which seems unusual for this number of miles.
My car is outside the basic 4 year 50k warranty and Mercedes refuses to provide me with any info regarding any extended warranties that may cover this without taking it in for their separate $200 diagnostic. I would like to avoid throwing this money away if it is not covered under any of their warranties.
Does anybody know if this is covered under any extended or separate warranties by Mercedes?
Thank you.

The warranty is the warranty. The service writer will check your VIN and based on the original sale date (or CPO sale date) will determine whether or not your car is covered. If you are one day (or one mile) out of warranty you are out of luck. I needed a new fuel pump for my old CLK and was 2 months out of warranty, the $#!++¥ dealer wouldn't even apply the $185 diagnostic fee towards the quoted $1,500 repair.
Having said that, open the link below and read about secret warranties, Maybe, MAYBE you might get lucky there.

If not, have your independent repair guy do it and get the peace of mind your car is reliable.
