Identifying correct part number from VIN
My 2012 C350 coupe has 45,000 miles on it and the $&@*% driver’s bottom seat bolster has a tear/rip (about the size of a pea).
The seat material is MB Tex. Currently I have placed a piece of electrical tape on it to minimize further damage. Fortunately the seat is black.
I have read in this forum that the replacement of the seat cover is a DIY project that isn’t too difficult.
The question is how do I get the right part number for the seat cover based on the vehicle’s VIN?
I found this part number from another members project but have no idea what color/style it is.

After 23 years in the AF I don’t think I have ever heard the acronym FUYA before, must be an Army thing.
Here is the vehicle’s VIN. WDDGJ5HB4CF83XXXX
I still am curious how you can decode options through the VIN. Is there an online database of the original build sheets? (Thereby requiring the entire VIN to include the production number of the vehicle?)

It is safest to just ask your dealer to get you the "front seat cover" so that if he orders the wrong part it is not your fault.

Thanks All for your input, Yes I replaced the last four digits of my VIN with XXXX. I was originally wondering if there was a self service place on the web to look up the options of the car. If I can access the EPC myself then I’m set. I’ve noticed nearly a $150 price difference between the dealer seat cushion cover price and what independent retailers like Pelican sell them for. Hence my original question.
