I've just picked up a lightly used C250cdi this week and loving the car so far.
Checking around the bodywork today, I noticed something sticking down from the underside of the car, around half way along and half way in. The car was parked on my drive and not raised so couldn't see clearly what the offending item was. I gave it a tug and this popped out (see attached pic). Can anyone confirm what it is, what it's purpose is and now that I've pulled it out, should I have it replaced?
Hi it was in the drive side, although I've subsequently seen images online of the underside of a w204 saloon and with the under body trays in place I can't fathom where this would be come from from.
