I'm looking at upgrading my OEM rear pads and rotors on my 2012 C350 4Matic coup that has the AMG wheel upgrade. Anyone have an opinion on a manufacturer that can provide superior stopping, wear, and quiet operation without breaking the bank?
Thanx

You coulld retrofit AMG brakes from a salvage yard, as long as your wheels clear the calipers

You can upgrade your Rear Rotors with OEM drilled set,,

you can go with "R129" S/A Rear Rotors/calipers/pads, or even bigger than that, depend to your choice, and compared to Front Rotors size..

I’ve been looking at several options:
- Centric slotted rotors with either EBC Yellowstuff (Aramid organic pads) or Redstuff (ceramic pads) or
- Powerstop slotted and drilled rotors with carbon fiber ceramic pads.
I am concerned about the cold braking issue - don’t know if it is all that bad.

I'm surprised the rear are solid , over here with AMG Sport pack on my S204 the rear are 300 x 22mm vented .
Front are cross drilled 295 x 28mm . First time I've owned a car with larger rear discs than front !

Grooved discs tend to be noisy but I've no experience of the EBC slotted .

I've just ordered new brakes ( OE Brembo ) primarily because of the evil OE brake pad dust and will order EBC Redstuff my pad of choice and will be the 3rd car I own with them fitted all around .

Over here Redstuff are ECE R90 , the regulation means the pad must fall within 15% of OE performance which means cold braking is the same as OE , but are very low dust , silent and when hot deliver even better braking .

OE pads are pure evil delivering hot particles of metal that embeds into the wheels paint .
Redstuff have no metal and some ceramic and any dust is easily washed away .

By solid I mean not drilled or slotted.
I guess I'm over thinking the issue. I might just stay with the Powerstop Z23 package which includes carbon fiber ceramic pads.
Thanx

Good night. Also I am studying the idea of putting on my w204 c220 cdi some Ebc Red Stuff tablets I think is a very good option at least when the braking temperature is already very high degrees .
My fear and the cold, but I've been seeing that it treats the same OEM
