So I got the P0340 trouble code and the car started sounding like a diesel when starting up. Everything else ran fine after. I came on this board and thought I'd be replacing the cam adjuster sprockets and timing chain at a minimum. I opened up the hood and discovered this hose or pipe broken/missing.

1) Could someone identify this for me please?

2) Could this be causing the P0340 code and issues?

You need part #271-090-20-29, list price is $270.

The broke hose is part of the air intake tube assembly. I do not believe it is available separately?

When installing the new air intake pipe assembly, use dish soap to lube the ends - it will make install a lot easier.
