Two years ago I contacted my local MBZ dealer about addressing the Tanaka Airbag issue. I was told “we will contact you when we have a remedy for the problem.”

That was two years ago, the MBZ website still states “recall incomplete, remedy not available.”

Does anyone have an update for this? Has anyone gotten their car fixed?

At this point I’m beginning to feel like I have a Tesla, unacceptable wait time for necessary repairs.

Interestingly I just heard from the dealer 5 minutes ago. The dealer now has a remedy and is addressing the recall. I have an appointment next Tuesday

I just called and was told the replacement should be available august 2020

Had the service done yesterday. Less than 3 hours. Hope the rest of you guys can get yours done soon.

Still waiting for the dealer to contact me, not overly concerned. Was a recall for the same thing on my STI prior.

It was the C350, the 2010 E350 wasn’t affected

I just called my Mercedes service center and they said it was still pending for my C63 and that I will receive a letter in the mail when it is available. I checked the Mercedes website and it said that it will be available in my area (NJ) in August 2020 too.

I just finished my recall and my dealer destory my Audio Amplifier.

Dealer performed the front pax airbag recall, washed the car and reset the clock. 11 AM to 3: 14 PM today (Friday 1/24/2020. So far, so good.

MB are truly hopeless . . . I MIGHT get one end of the year (2020) . . in the meantime, can I kindly refrain from using the vehicle until then. Have a nice day.
