Pink insulation under brake fluid reservoir
New here to MBworld..
Just purchased a used 2013 C250 Coupe with 174,000km about a week ago and have began getting weird readings on the temperature gauge as well as a check coolant level message even though I cannot detect a coolant leak. I am having the thermostat and thermostat sensor replaced tomorrow to see if this corrects the issue and am not sure if maybe the coolant level is just a bit too low for the sensor so I will ask my mechanic to add coolant so I can see if the message goes away.. anyways the point of this thread is that I was looking under my hood today and noticed some pink insulation (like you would find in a home) stuffed down under the brake fluid reservoir and could not find anything online as to explain why this would be there… any answers to any of this stuff would be helpful as this is my first benz and I love the car and want to make sure everything is corrected while my dealership warranty is still in place, before my actual warranty kicks in which doesnt cover as many components.
Thanks!!
