I'm in agreement - expected more buzz before they were available.
The Lexus SC430 forum was active for a year before it arrived.
Still, I'm a new owner as of Monday in the DFW area.
Brilliant blue with MB-Tex Saddle and linden wood trim.
Looking forward to being an active member here.

I'm awaiting delivery (end of August) of my Lunar Blue with saddle brown interior and natural ash brown wood, so I'd appreciate seeing your interior; and perhaps, even a shot of the interior also showing a bit of the exterior color (like with the door open.) So far the dealers haven't gotten my combination and yours may give me an idea of what I'm getting.

Please note that all the model preamble that you seek is actually in the W205 sedan forum. There are a bucket of threads in this regard.

My thoughts on the wood trim:
- The gloss black is sporty, and the linden wood (also glossy) adds a more of a luxury look.
- The two blacks have aluminum panels around the door speakers instead of matching trim.
- The ash trims are flat instead of glossy.
- We thought the black ash looked like it could have been made of plastic (not implying that it is) -- just not the look we wanted.

Thanks, very cool looking. Originally, I was going to get the platinum interior also, but the saddle brown just looked so classy. Anyway, my ATS' interior is platinum and it would have been boring to have two cars with the same color interior...

There are quite a few UK dealers getting C43 coupe demos into stock now, we will hopefully get to see one with the Saddle Brown before our build gets locked, but I'm pretty sure we've made the right choice.

it's kind of a bummer - I'm used to BMW where you'll have an active forum for a year before anybody gets one ... posting pre-release reviews, speculation on performance, engineering discussions, planned mods, lining up vendors, etc.
Here's it's just kind of
Well, they seem to be more expensive, especially the leases. If Benz wants to move them they'll have to make leasing comparable to BMW - I just ran some rough numbers and with Porsche's summer lease deal I could get a 911 for less than a C63S!

Yeah, I'm with you guys. Since 2002, I've had a new 325 and a new Z4, and have found their forums to be very active, also. I think that one of the major differences between the BMW and MB forums here, is that the MB buyers are more interested in luxury and looks than in performance (at least I know I was, in part, when I gave up my Z4.) So, once you're satisfied with your new fine looking car, there may not be much else to say???

Sounds like an opportunity to change that.
Time and priorities permitting, I intend to post a couple of topics.
One I always liked from the SC430 forum was "Surprising things you learned about the SC long after buying it".
So I intend to keep this forum alive, as best my non-modder self can.

I opted for the Cranberry Red interior. It's gorgeous!

Thanks! It's a deeper red than the picture shows, just depends upon the lighting. Regardless, I love it. It's the first time I haven't had a black interior and I'm really happy with my choice. Combined with the white paint and Night Package, all the colors really pop. Do you have photos of your car?

I've been out in the Bay Area for the last couple of weeks and the only new C class coupes I've seen have been on the forecourt of the MB dealerships :-)
More Tesla's than you could shake a stick at though, both S and X models.

I saw an older man driving a white coupe similar to mine this morning in the Irvine/Tustin area here in SoCal. His also had Night Package, but the interior looked like it was black. It was hard to tell through his tinted windows, haha.

It's very quiet on the Mercedes forum compared to the BMW forum for modding. When I purchased my 14 228i Msport when it was released in March of 2014, the 2 series forum was going crazy! BMW owners in general are more enthusiastic with modding. MB forum = Boring. A too mature crowd, I guess.

For those that prefer leasing, the C coupe is about as bad as it gets right now deal-wise, FYI. Expect to pay similar payments to those leasing brand new Es - a serious premium. It's brand new and well-reviewed though, so to be expected.
Nevertheless, it's a gorgeous car - especially with the multispokes!

I ordered my C300 coupe when it was really new...like just came into the States. I was able to get 10% off MSRP with a MF=0.00121 and a 60% residual. Furthermore, at the time of lease singing, MB Financial accepted 10 Money Security Deposits (MSD) that reduced the MF down to 0.00051...an APR change of 2.9% to 1.2%, giving me an almost $3000 saving on my monthly payments over the 36 months of the lease. Oh yeah, if you don't know about MSDs, the money you give them at signing is fully returned to you when the lease it up. Quite a win-win situation.

Shopping around for the best deal at the moment, for december delivery. C220/C250 coupe is my preference (premium) but my fiancé has been looking at Jaguars as well. I'm the driver though. :p
