Things I like about the Jaguar (XF R Sport)
- Their red colour, the Merc's Designo Hyacinth Red isn't as vibrant as I'd hoped. Although I like the caesium blue too and I like the brilliant blue mercedes colour
- The touchscreen system - I find the dial on the Merc infuriating.
- The voice command - the Merc always gets it wrong when I try to speak to it
Things I like about the Merc
- Smooth lines on the interior, especially with the auto
- Stick control on the auto rather than the dial in the centre
- Folding mirrors & reversing camera/parking assist (although I don't use parking assist) come as standard on the Merc but not the Jag.
We've been watching some reviews and the Mercedes is rated more highly than the Jaguar for similar reasons. I think for comfort and drive they are pretty similar but I definitely prefer the coupe for aesthetic reasons. I wanted to move away from the saloon because it looks like a company car and also I thought the coupe was a bit less manly :p People (especially male Merc drivers) double take when they see me driving mine.

I ordered my C300 coupe when it was really new...like just came into the States. I was able to get 10% off MSRP with a MF=0.00121 and a 60% residual. Furthermore, at the time of lease singing, MB Financial accepted 10 Money Security Deposits (MSD) that reduced the MF down to 0.00051...an APR change of 2.9% to 1.2%, giving me an almost $3000 saving on my monthly payments over the 36 months of the lease. Oh yeah, if you don't know about MSDs, the money you give them at signing is fully returned to you when the lease it up. Quite a win-win situation.
Regardless, this is what we want to turn the wife's C250 in for. I will be excited to steal it, and hope the forum gets a little more lively.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
There are already people with cabriolets posting on the main C205 forum instead of here .

I would agree with that plus there is another thread with the same thing going on...
C220 AMG Line premium plus in Brilliant Blue.
I've got a couple of photos but the light wasn't great (start of dusk).
I come from Audi and BMW forums as well, and feel half of the fun of owning a nice car is to touch it up a little bit to make it your own, and chatting up with like minded folk that are enthusiasts... well, not in here it seems. Hoping it will get better.

Do some remedial reading. I see you have a 300, but there is a lot of tech info and bs if you read through the "c450 only" thread.
There is plenty of basic cheap mod advice on your 300 including some piggybacks, and body add ons.
I will save you the trouble of looking for crazy stanced builds, and 400HP 2.0Ts because there aren't any.
The W205 body boards are some of the most active, although it tends to be a ghost town outside of the work week.
Hey tyler, did you ever walk into someone's house and say, "your place kinda smells like butts" before an introducing yourself? Just asking.

It seems like from where you are people do "cheap mods and piggybacks (?!)" to their cars, unfortunately so, I am not interested in those. I am merely looking at people who lowered their cars to close the excessive wheel gap, different type of wheel choices, different color combinations etc...
I already checked the w205 forums but simply put what I am looking for does not work out with that forum, as I mentioned I am looking for car specific discussion, that being a c205.
Adding all these up, just as a future reference for you, simply avoid the unpleasantaries to people who you have no idea about, a forum etiquette for you to get acquainted. We are all here to learn and share, so lets stick with that shall we "cenzo"?

To your point, Tyler - mechanically, market majority rules...meaning, there are more sedan owners than coupes and the W205 sedan section tends to end up as the catch-all. Any engine tuning information you'll come across in the sedan section will, more often than not, apply to you or pull you in the right direction with some critical thinking. Is there something specific you're looking to accomplish?
