Is this forum dead?

Why no activity here? No one has or is getting a coupe? No one who has a coupe is interested in a radar detector DIY? Etc?

C63s Wagon 2019
My ride is coming in 6 weeks.
I guess there is not a lot of them out there yet?

Don't know if I will have anything to write when it arrives either though. :-)

Yeah, I don't think I've seen any 2017 coupes here in southeast Florida. Been at the area delaerships for about three weeks. Maybe they aren't selling as expected???

it's kind of a bummer - I'm used to BMW where you'll have an active forum for a year before anybody gets one ... posting pre-release reviews, speculation on performance, engineering discussions, planned mods, lining up vendors, etc.

Here's it's just kind of

Well, they seem to be more expensive, especially the leases. If Benz wants to move them they'll have to make leasing comparable to BMW - I just ran some rough numbers and with Porsche's summer lease deal I could get a 911 for less than a C63S!

Same here... I live in Dallas/Fort Worth and drive about 100 miles per day round-trip to work. I have yet to see another coupe on the road. My dealer told me they've sold 8 of them, but I haven't seen another one.

Here in silicon valley I see and run with just about everything ... ferraris, mclaren, lambos, GT3s ... hell there's a Delorean daily driver parked in my building.

I've yet to see a C63S sedan or coupe

Yeah, I'm also coming from several BMW forums and, in comparison, find this forum quite disappointing. Hopefully, at time rolls on, things will pick up...

Our C43 Coupe arrives sometime in Oct. Already have some subtle mods planned and waiting on the availability and pricing for the Brabus tune.

I've only seen two new C Coupes on the road outside of the C63s we had a test drive in at our local dealers. One was another C63 around where we live and the second was a non AMG Coupe earlier this week when I was in Gothenburg in Sweden on business.

Most of the discussion is still being held on the C Class sedan forum...

I'll have a C43 in Cbus in October, or whenever the hell they decide to start delivering the 43's.

Yes I miss the chatting and engagement of the BMW forums too. Now I just have to wait to receive my C43 in October and enjoy driving it. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and receive it at the end of September. Seems like that's the most "hype" there will be between now and then.

That's odd. I was just down there a couple of weekends ago and saw a few sedans.

This forum breaks down the models into such minute detail, that many forums are naturally going to be very slow as they will be relatively few owners. Would be much better to group all of the like models together to generate more conversation.

I agree. I think the C205 should be in with the W205 group since there's really not a lot of them on the road...

Just found out that my car went into production 7/14 (Germany) and was told that it would most likely be delivered the end of August. This means that shipping and delivery (once car is built) to the USA takes about 1.5 months...bummer!

I saw a C63 coupe this morning on my short walk to my local train station, sounded and looked great, white with the optional black 20/19 wheels, but without the black pack, so chromed exhaust trims. I would so love a C63, but I would end up having to double my monthly payments compared to the C43 we've ordered and have a lower spec. car.

No, it's a C300 coupe. Originally thought that it was going to be made in Alabama and then found out that the coupes were made in Germany.

Blue Belle

I'm in agreement - expected more buzz before they were available.
The Lexus SC430 forum was active for a year before it arrived.

Still, I'm a new owner as of Monday in the DFW area.
Brilliant blue with MB-Tex Saddle and linden wood trim.

Looking forward to being an active member here.

Very nice, can you post some interior picks if you have time, as we've flipped from the Porcelain to the Saddle trim on our order.
