Slow 0-60 C300 Coupe 4matic
However, the 0-60 time I have is nowhere near the advertised 6 seconds.
I usually get 8 to 8.3 seconds. It seems the problem is launching the car. When the car is fully stopped, and I mash the pedal, it takes a little for it to move. This does not happen when I don't fully depress the pedal. For example on intersections or traffic lights it moves instantly. But if on a stop I fully depress the pedal the car takes a little to move like its doing some calculations of some sort. This is in Sport+ mode, same on manual.
Once the car is moving it's quick, and you can feel that if you're doing 5-15 mph and fully depressing the pedal it really flies. Also, the car spec say max torque is on 1800-2000 rpm. This is exactly the range where I feel the car is lacking. It seems to pick up at 2500-3000.
I know advertised 0-60 is very much so, advertised under specific conditions. But 2 seconds difference is massive, and consistently getting so is a disaster.
I checked tire pressure, reset the transmission adaptive thing, and checked the car at the dealer. They say there is nothing wrong with it. They also checked it on the dealer computer software and it detected no problems. Oils and filters were changed at the recent B service.
Yet there is a fact that remains, my supposedly 6 sec 0-6 car only goes there in about 8 seconds. What can I do?
Model year is 2017 with 7G transmission.

I find it very hard to believe that in Sport+ or Manual (properly executed) it'd be 0-60 in 8 seconds. I know that's definitely not the case in my 2019. I could see that in Economy driving mode, which is very slow off the line and more tuned for highway cruising.
And yes the difference between the E400 and C300 will be pronounced off the line due to the E400 being naturally aspirated with higher torque, and the C300 being turbocharged with lower torque. But overall, it adds up to about one second of difference from 0 to 60.
Here's more on horsepower vs. torque: https://danielmiessler.com/study/horsepower/
I get it though- and my last car was an E and I loved it, sedan though.
